Frequently Asked Questions About the Offshore Real Estate Directory

How do I create a property listing?

First step is to create your account.

Go to the Real Estate Listings Menu and double click on the text: Add a New Listing. Complete this form and save the information. You can add your images afterwards.

After completing the form and saving the information you will be taken to a page where you can preview your property’s description.

To add images to your property listing double click on the text Edit images of this Real Estate Listing.

You will then be taken to the page: OffshoreWave » Members Area :: Manage Property Images

Below your property’s title description you will find the option that will take you to a page where you can upload images for your listing. You will be able to choose the images from your computer’s hard drive and upload them into your listing. You will also be able to add a description of your photos.

Press the button upload images when you are done selecting the images from your computer. You will be taken to a page where you can view all the uploaded images. If for any reason you are not satisfied and you would like to change an image please click on the icon located right next to the image that you want to change. If you want to delete the image and not upload another one please click on the icon: .

How do I add images to my listing from the property manager?

Click on the icon

You will be taken to the page: OffshoreWave » Members Area :: Manage Property Images. On this page you will be able to add or change your images.

How do I activate my listing?

You will see your listings names on the Property Manager. Please check the box of the listing or listings that you want to activate. Below your listings names you will find the option to Publish your listings. Select a plan from the drop down menu and submit the real estate listing. You will then be taken back to the Property Manager. Scroll down and you will see the option to manage your shopping cart and proceed to confirm your payment.

If you don’t check the box you will be taken back to the Property Manager without the option to manage your shopping cart.

What exactly do I get for free?

You are free to register and use our page making application in order to create your property listings, each with up to 20 images.

You are the only one who can access and see these pages, that is, until you activate your pages. When you are ready to activate your pages/listings, you will choose a listing plan for your properties.

What are the prices/listing plans?

Prices for our listing plans are as follows, note these are subject to changes at any time: (prices are for a single listing)

  • 1 month listing – $17.95
  • 3 month listing – $39.95
  • 6 month listing – $47.95
  • 12 month listing – $59.95

We want to list a large number of properties, do you offer discounts to people who list many properties?

Yes!, we have special plans available for real estate agents like you:

  • 25% discount on orders of 5 or more listings.
  • 50% discount on orders of 10 or more listings.
Activate all your listings at once so you get the discount. Our system tracks orders and applies discounts if you activate other properties.

What payment methods are available?

For online payments we accept Visa, MasterCard credit cards as well as PayPal.

For special plans (multiple listings a month) we also accept payment via wire transfer.

Can I pay in other Currencies?

Prices at Offshorewave.com are in US Dollars, so when you pay with your Credit Card your bank will automatically make the conversion from U.S. Dollars to your local currency at the current exchange rate.

After I choose a listing plan, will my credit card be billed automatically at the end of the listing term?

No, once you use your credit card to purchase a listing plan we will not bill you beyond that plan. When your listing is about to expire, we will notify you so that you have the option to renew it by selecting another listing plan.

We will NOT automatically renew your property listings.

How many words/pictures can my ad have?

You can include as many words as you like!

It is recommended that you include as much information as possible in your listings.

Your listings can include up to 20 full-size JPEG images.

I do not have photos in digital form. Can I still use them to list properties?

To upload images they must be in JPEG format.

If you don't have a scanner or a digital camera, go to a local copy shop or Internet cafe.

For faster upload, ask them to scan your images with these specifications:

  • 72 - 75 DPI (For Screen Display).
  • Image Dimensions no greater than 640x480 pixels.
  • Save them on a floppy disk, burn a cd, or email them to yourself as JPEGs.
Once you have your images just click on the "Add image" link to pick them from your computer and upload them.

Can I put a link from my listing to my web site?

Yes, you can put a link from your listing on Offshorewave.com directly to your web site.

It’s a smart technique as it will bring more traffic to your site.

Make sure you include an image and be descriptive, use words that vividly describe your property.

How will people find my property?

When people search for real estate in, say, the Bahamas or Panama your listing will appear on the major search engines.

How will I know if my property is being seen?

We offer you a statistics counter for each of your properties. This will also count the number of responses you have received and the number of times users have visited your website if you have one.

Data is archived so you can track your results monthly.

How will buyers contact me?

They will contact you by clicking the "Contact Now" link on your property page. You will then receive the message in your inbox like a regular email.

What if I am not receiving the response emails?

Our server is sending out the emails, so there are a few things to check:

  • Did you enter the correct email address?
  • Do you perhaps have an alternate email address you could use for the responses?
  • Do you have any spam filters in place?
  • If you still have problems, please email us at support@offshorewave.com and we'll be happy to help.

If after 15 days I decide to not continue using your service, how will my money be refunded?

Send us an email using the Member Contact Form including your property's details and we will refund your money by reversing the credit card transaction.
